Unexpected setback, second male and more.

Please, don't start asking stupid questions right away. I can already feel your mind racing in your head. Why don't you enjoy the fact that we're the first ones you can actually talk to?

Usually, I start writing with a vague idea of what I want characters to be in. This is so that I can let them decide what to do based on the situation, whether it is with themselves, a loved one, a hated one, etc. On my way to my day job, I walk a lot, and in those moments, I think about scenes, characters, and dialogues, mostly dialogues. Sometimes I have perfect words in my head, but I don't have anything to write them on. Therefore, even though I don't lose the main point, I lose the words I originally thought of. It's like playing Chinese whispers with myself.

Although I had some basic ideas for Evi (the girl to the right), once I started writing her first appearance, I started imagining so much more. It isn't going to be groundbreaking mind you, but I am definitely taking some time to think about and expand the idea. This will enable me to have a better idea of what I want to do with her. As much as I would like to rush this one, I realize that setting up key points now is more significant than a cheap turn of events out of nowhere in the future.

"Can you move aside, stain?"

The second male's name is Igno. Please read my post before this one so you can understand what I'm about to say next: If I fail to make you hate him, I have failed my purpose. I'm still unsure if I want him to have redemption in the future or be an asshole all the way to the end. Again, I need to be there creating the scenes to get a better sense of what I want. Why should he be a douchebag? It is a matter of two reasons. First, you have to become used to him being like that in the novel. Second, you will not be surprised when another group appears that follows the same assholish attitude. Thus, the school will grow in a healthy environment where not everyone is happy, not everyone is sad, and not everyone is an asshole.

"The smell of books is relaxing to me. I was reading about frogs. That is, until you distracted me. You little man."

This character's name is Ada. At the moment, she is a vague idea that I wanted to include. In order to nurture the ideas that inspired me to add her, I hope to gain experience and gain an understanding of how to nail her. I call her a placeholder character at this point. I hope to focus more on her when the time comes.

"The students at this school have a troubled past, present, and a potential future as well. Some cope with their sadness through happiness, while others refuse to accept it."

It may or may not have been noticed, but there have been a lot of pauses between dialogues and scenes lately. These are intended to endorse something. They help me convey that the character isn't buying your nonsense. They also help me convey that they are generally quiet and take some time to respond. Or that others are awaiting your judgement. I'll keep using those pauses. While I do not wish to tell you how to read through my thing, I would encourage you to take this into account.

"Among all the people I have known, she was the first to understand the significance of my existence without me having to explain it."

Despite the fact that it would be impossible to separate my personal life from the storyline of this novel, I just want you to know something. I take medication for panic and anxiety attacks whenever I step outside. As long as I stay active, I'm fine. Whenever I get home, I feel like I've been run over by a truck. When I sit down, I'm just so drowsy that I'm in need of sleep. This thing knocks you out for hours. 8 hours to be exact. Sleeping so much takes hours, and when I have to work the next day, I don't have much time for myself. As a result, I cannot work "overtime" on this because of that, as well as several other reasons, but most importantly because of that. I don't wish to specify all of my schedules because then it would be an excuse. Where I'm going with this is that I do want two updates per month at the very least, but it is proving to be a challenge. I am focusing on achieving that first. As well as stopping being so ambitious and just enjoying the ride.

It was the longest post I've ever written. Thanks for taking the time to read. My schedule was somewhat rough this week and it will continue like that until next week.

Evil is always necessary.  Having a bad male is a good idea. Be cool to have a later redemption, bad background, or abused or blackmail later. Combining forces with mc to defeat a supervillain.  Well maybe not something action pack like a dragon ball episode haha

(1 edit)

I'm still undecesive on it. Mainly because there is always a satisfactory feeling when someone pays for what they have done. On the other hand I could just avoid this by giving you the option to choose on the outcome.

options are always good!
